Biography

Nina Lieberman has been the Dean of the Graduate School of Nonprofit Management at American Jewish University since 2004 Before coming to AJU, she wasthe Executive Vice President at Jewish Community Centers of Greater Los Angeles, and Director of Social Services at Jewish Home for the Aging. Nina Lieberman created new fundraising opportunities for the Jewish Community Centers of Greater Los Angeles (JCCGLA), developed a strategic plan to strengthen the Centers and divest them of nonfunctioning programs and reduced the Centers’ deficit without sacrificing critically needed children’s programs. She managed all aspects of operations related to the tragic August 1999 shooting at the North Valley JCC, coordinating psychological triage for children and parents and outreach to law enforcement. Lieberman also coordinated the first department to bring together the Jewish Home for the Aging’s two campuses resulting in cost savings of almost $2.5 million.
