Biography

Joseph Michelson, a physician, (ophthalmologist: retina & uveitis specialist) teaches biologic sciences (College of Arts Sciences) and Jewish American History (Whizin Center for Continuing Education).  He is the author of 5 medical texts, over 50 professional articles, 2 paperback novels, and has had his non-fiction published in San Diego Magazine, the Los Angeles Times, the “J”.  Dr. Michelson writes a history interest column for the Jewish Observer, Los Angeles, a weekly on-line newspaper and has been on the faculty at both Stanford and Harvard Medical Schools.
