Biography

Before joining the MBA faculty at AJU, Elaine Himmelfarb worked for the St. Joseph Hospital Foundation as a Grants Development Manager, for Project Concern International as a Country Director for Romania, as well as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention as the Tuberculosis Task Force Coordinator. She currently also works for MAZON: A Jewish Response to Hunger, as a Program Officer and Grantwriter.
 She has presented at several national and international symposia including World Health Organization, CDC STD/HIV Conference, Asian Pacific Community Health Organization, and American Thoracic Society International Conference. Himmelfarb belongs to the Southern California Grantmakers, the Association of Fundraising Professionals, the American Public Health Association, the Center for Medical Ethics and Mediation, and is the Board President for Project Concern Romania.
 She is also involved in such organizations as CONNECT- The Child Care Connections Collaborative, California Healthy Cities Project, Hebrew Immigrant Aid Society, Indo-Chinese Refugee Camp, the LA County STD Program, and the United Way of San Diego.
