Dan Shevitz has taught at AJU’s Ziegler School of Rabbinic Studies since 1997. He serves as rabbi to Congregation Mishkon Tephilo in Venice and as Av Bet Din of the Community Bet Din of Southern California. He has previously served as a congregational rabbi in Oklahoma City, and as Hillel director and Chaplain at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology in Cambridge, Massachusetts. From 1998 until 2010 he served as a chaplain to the Los Angeles Police Department.
